“Tidal Song We rented this cottage in 2012 and decided to do so again since the majority of the oceanfront homes that were storm damaged had been removed. It is now second row, and being relatively close to the ocean, offers good views, nice breezes, and the wonderful sound of crashing waves. The cottage was well furnished with everything we needed, including items that were used on the beach such as a shelter and chairs. It has a good selection of VHS and DVD movies. Some of the deck furniture needs to be repaired, but is still serviceable. We really liked the check-in/check-out procedures, as well as the keyless entry system. The Outer Banks Fishing Pier is a short distance away and offers a great restaurant and fishing location. The Boddie Island Lighthouse is also a short distance away. The only real glitch was the toaster that seemed to work off and on. Overall, our stay was very relaxing in a quiet, family-oriented area.”
