Perfect!! We have stayed here 2 years in a row and will be back next year! If you have smaller kids and aren’t looking for anything fancy, this is the house for you! My 4 year old had a blast in the pool which is a nice size. It’s a very short walk to the beach or if you prefer (like we do) driving on the beach, the ramp is literally 3 minutes down the road. We love this area because it’s quiet but not too far from shopping, dining, and the aquarium.

Great distance to beach. Love having the pool and access to washer & dryer. Good amount of cookware and storage containers. In general, interior needs to be updated also roku tv was a struggle and we weren't able to get any additional apps to run the streaming service we already have. I can image older people struggle with the TV.

Perfect location with walking distance to the beach. Staying south of Nags Head keeps you away from traffic. We would return.

Excellent The distance to the beach could not have been better. The pool was also an excellent bonus. We had a great vacation and would return again.

Southward There were some superficial things that need to be worked on in the house and pool. Nothing huge and nothing that kept us from enjoying ourselves! Loved the layout and the location! Loved how the house was decorated,as well! Very roomy. We really liked the open concept with the kitchen,dining,and living rooms,too. Thank you for a great week!

Nice house House is in a great location in South Nags Head. Short walk to beach and in quiet area. Everything is as advertised. Queen Bed mattress is a little too soft for our taste but not terrible. We loved the pool but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for us to get to enjoy it more than 1 day. Would stay here again.

Everything you want and need The location is excellent! 1 block off the beach…so close to all the great spots like fish heads on the pier and dirty d—-‘s crab house. The beach is stunning but having the built in pool makes all the difference in the world. After a few hours on the beach it is so nice to come home and relax poolside. The house is clean spacious and nicely furnished …. 3 nice sized bedrooms (2 sets of bunk beds in one room….perfect for the kids) a master with its own bathroom and another good sized bedroom with another bathroom just outside. Everything we needed to cook was there. We enjoyed many evenings in the enclosed porch and the high top table on the deck is the perfect place to have your morning coffee. Loved every minute.

Nice place Pleasantly surprised by this place. Everything clean and in working order. A 2 minute walk to the beach. Didn’t think we needed a pool but guess what? You do and I’m glad it was there. I’d definitely stay here again.

Awesome house This was our second year returning to Southward, We love this house, it’s very clean and has everything you could need. The pool is fantastic when you don’t feel like a beach day and when you do feel like a beach day or a morning walk or sunset walk it’s literally 2 minutes away. We also love the location of this house because you are a close enough drive to activities but far enough away that the area is still quiet. Would whole heartedly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Excellent We had an amazing time at Southward! The location was great. So close to the beach and easy to get into town for groceries or restaurants. We are a family of 3 traveling with our two pups and the house was a perfect size, didn’t use one of the bedrooms. We would consider bringing friends next time. The pool was great! We were in it every day. Sparkling clean & great size. Our 10 year old loved it! We would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful & much needed vacation!!

This is our second summer at Southward – we love our little beach box home away from home. Great location, quiet neighborhood, clean and very relaxing for our family of 7. The owner is making upgrades and the new deck and screened in porch are great additions. The pool is a big plus - clean and a good size. The kitchen is well stocked, almost entirely new cookware, everything you need, and they just put in a new stove. Location, location, location – quiet area, easy to drive south to check out Coquina Beach or further south toward Hatteras without hitting traffic and, just under two miles from Fish Heads (our favorite). Sit on the deck and look east towards the ocean or amazing sunsets on the other, and a quick walk across the street for a clean, uncrowded beach. Gigantic smart television in the living room so able to log in easily with our accounts – big plus on the one rainy day we had. Comfortable new beds, and the second bath in the master was big plus. Looking forward to our 2023 vacation to OBX and Southward !!!!!

Very Good I was looking for a comfortable little spot where I could just enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation and be able to bring my dogs. Southward was definitely it! I really love the location… close enough to the amenities without being smack in the middle. And just a short walk to the beach. The house itself was just what I was looking for. And while I loved the giant tv, it sure made mine seem very small when I returned home! Now I’m in the market for a new tv 🤣. If I could change anything at all it would be to add a bit more space to the pool area. While I loved the pool itself, the area itself didn’t make it very conducive for sunbathing. Yes I know that’s what the beach is for, but I didn’t want to lug everything to the beach every day. All in all, Southward was just right for me. Should I decide to vacation at the beach again, this will be my spot!

Cozy Cottage This Cottage is wonderful. We had our family of four and had a lot of space. Very cozy, clean. Outdoor porch is screened in. Very nice pool area. Beds were comfy. Nice kitchen, dining area. Very close to shops, food. Not far of a walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Great vacation The house is very nicely located. Walk to the beach was great. Pool was really great.

Southward Great location in a quiet area within 5 min walk to the beach and a great private pool.

Relaxing week We really enjoyed our stay and eating at Sam and Ommie's which is right up the road from Southward. The kids loved the new water park and we even went to see the wild horses at Corolla. A very nice and relaxing week. I even appreciate Trooper White of the NC Highway Patrol that gave me a citation for an expired license sticker. I can't believe how I had driven all over the state and no law enforcement had notified me until we got to Nags Head. And then, when we went to Manteo, a city police officer also pulled me to tell me about the license. Good to know they are all doing their jobs. We definitely look forward to coming again next year. And by the way, the license sticker expired in December of 2018.
