Very Good Per usual, everything was great. I like the furniture ‘flip’. The new bedroom furniture was nice.

Very Good This is the 3rd year we have stayed st Surf House. We will be back!! I loved the ‘in case’ baskets; such a nice touch. Everything was great!

Beautiful home! The location is amazing! You can hear the ocean while sleeping! The home is well decorated , bedrooms are spacious and the house is stocked so well!! We unfortunately had some rainy weather on vacation but hung out under porch or enjoyed the ocean views from the living room! Can’t wait to return!!

Such a great place This place has everything you need including beach chairs and umbrellas, super comfy beds and ON THE BEACH, as close as you can be at Nags Head, at least that I have seen. Worth every penny and can sleep even couples comfortably with two kind and two double beds. Absolutely perfect.

Bucket list fulfillment for my Husband The house was beautiful and well-appointed complete with all the extras to make our stay memorable as well as comfortable. The host Kathryn, was definitely the hostess who was presenting the mostest! we appreciate everything she did for us and plan to make this a top-list destination!

Wonderful house We loved staying at Surf House. The location is unbeatable - right on the ocean. The house is updated and very comfortable. We did have an issue with parking space (3 cars) as there is a lot of deep sand in front of the house.

Lovely Oceanfront Vacation Home Nansemond is a small, quiet, private street, and this oceanfront house has a great location and is very nicely appointed. The kitchen is well stocked, and the rooms and furniture are comfortable. We loved the short walk to the beach and sitting on the deck to admire the beach and ocean views. Parking in the sand is a little tricky, but honestly everything else was great. Highly recommended.

Amazing!!!! This was our first time staying at the Surf House and it was amazing!! The house was beautiful with comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, a perfect view of the ocean, and so much more. We have stayed at the outer banks for the last 10 years and this is by far the nicest homes we’ve stayed in. We will definitely stay here again!

Simply Amazing My family stayed in Surf House for a week in late March and let me tell you, you do not need great weather to enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach when you stay at Surf House. The location is perfect to be close to everything, yet feel like you are far away. The house is the last house on a side street off of the main road and there is not a public beach access. We only saw the neighbors using the beach access which was so nice. The house itself was wonderful. It is obviously cared for and well-stocked. So many times when we rent a house it is full of miscellaneous kitchen junk and that is not the case at Surf House. Everything seemed very well-intentioned and well-placed. Surf House is great for little kids with the open floor plan and the simplicity of the design and decor. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. This house is perfect for two families with each family taking a bookend of the house for a king bed and a bunk room on each side. It has such a well thought out floorplan. We all enjoyed the porch which was great at shielding you from the northern beach breezes while offering panoramic views of the beach and ocean. We would and have already recommended Surf House to friends and family and are looking at booking for next year as well. Thanks Surf House!

The Capsule To Relaxation Me/Wife took our kiddos to SURF HOUSE for 2 weeks. The first week we had my in laws. The second week we had my mom, sister, kiddos, etc., including two younger kiddos. My wife and I have 3, 4, and 5 year old kiddos. Niece/Nephew 8 and 12. This place is the epitome of perfection for a family with young kiddos. The highlight of the house is UNDER the house - Hammocks/Swings/etc.! The main living space is open (wide open). Balcony/deck is the place to be, oceanfront views! A few footsteps to the saltwater! Can't beat it. More than anything, this is the ideal location for a family with youngsters/kiddos. It's unbeatable. Additionally, we met local neighbors who were friendly owners of houses nearby. Restaurants nearby. South Nags Head!

Perfect Spot! Perfect location! We've been staying here since 2014 (some years twice!) and love it. The home has everything you need and just walk down the steps to the beach. Great sunrises, dolphin watching, moonrises, beachcombing...everything right outside the door. A little shocked about how much the rental went up for 2023 though...sadly will only do one visit and not two in 2023.

Excellent Had a great week at Destiny. House was well equipped with just about everything we needed. Would definitely rent this unit again. Only cons were deck was small and parking 4 trucks was a tight squeeze.

Perfect, Perfect and Perfect! This was our ninth visit to Destiny Cottage. During these times of Covid, our vacation was even more needed and more anticipated this year than ever! As usual, Destiny never fails to meet and exceed our expectations. She is located right on the beach front, protected by dunes that still allow full access to the gorgeous views of the shoreline, the beach, and the most amazing sunrises and star gazing to be found on the OBX. Swinging on the porch swing is one of my favorite things to do. Just close your eyes and listen to the relaxing sounds of the waves hitting the shore. Great layout, always clean, owners Sunday morning welcome call is now an anticipated event! Everything you could need for your family or adults-only vacation! Destiny is really well maintained and we could not ask for more (well maybe more time)!

8th Time Staying! Stayed at Destiny for the 8th time in September (2019) and it just keeps exceeding our expectations! It's become our home away from home and the layout of two wings (2 bedrooms and a bath on each "wing") makes it really comfortable for families and guests. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay complete. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need if doing all the cooking or bringing home a bushel of crabs to pick! Stocked with movies, books, puzzles, games, etc., is great for families or summer reading. Walk out your front door, walk down the steps and you are basically on the beach!! But the very best thing is the view. My favorite thing is hanging on the porch swing watching the sun rise, storms over the ocean or the moon shimmering on the ocean. Once you stay there, I promise you will be back (just don't take our week!!!!!)

It's your Destiny This was our 10th year relaxing at Destiny. This cottage has what you need to relax! Don’t sweat the details as Destiny is your home away from home. Beautiful, unobstructed ocean views and every sunrise is a masterpiece of beauty. Unplug from the electronics and enjoy pure beach time. Destiny is a special place for us and every year we HAVE to return. To refocus, restore, and enjoy time with family. So make a cup of coffee in her kitchen, pull up a seat on her porch and let your cares drift away on the gentle breeze.

Always delivers! This is our 6th stay at Destiny Cottage and, as usual, it was perfect! Not only is the location at the quiet end of "civilization" (South Nagshead) calming, but it's location on the ocean front guarantees beautiful sun rises and calming sunsets. The cottage itself offers one floor living and is equipped with everything you could possibly need on your vacation. Can't wait for my next stay in the fall - Destiny is like coming home!
