Excellent Tambor by the Sea is comfortable, beautiful, and right on the beach. We had a wonderful time in this lovely home.

Felt like Home Inside Home is lovely, felt well cared for, updated. Only issue we had was parking somewhat tight(3 vehicle & garage)but neighbors had up to 6 vehicles in the driveway & blocked us in or out several times, may get this house again

Very nice house. Beautiful views. Right on beach. Close to everything we needed. Had a wonderful stay. We will return again in the future.

Great vacation in Nags Head My family really enjoyed staying at Tambor by the Sea. The house was very clean. The decor and furniture are very nice and in good shape. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is updated and had everything we needed. The bathrooms are also updated and in very good shape. We all enjoyed the hot tub. I'd like to add that there is a picnic table on the screened in porch. In the garage there are also beach umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and two bicycles. I wish we would've known that ahead of time and we wouldn't have had to bring our chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. (Although one tire or inner tube needs to be replaced, as we tried to pump it up and that didn't work). Also, there was no bicycle pump in the garage, we had to buy one. This area of South Nags Head is very private, so there weren't very many people on the beach, which was nice. We missed our dog so much and wished we could've brought her with us. So, I would suggest they make this property pet friendly. That's the only thing that would've made our stay there better. Overall, the house and the location are great and our family had a great time!

This home was a dream! From stunning ocean views and direct beach access to thoughtful touches throughout, every detail made our stay special. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The deck was our favorite spot—ideal for sunrises and evening relaxation. Location was perfect, close enough to restaurants and shops but peaceful and private. Host communication was prompt and helpful. We can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

Great oceanfront location Beautiful ocean views with dolphins everyday. The living space was comfortable 

Great Oceanfront home! Perfect home if you're looking for a TRUE OEANFRONT home! Sunroom (screened in so you can feel the breeze and hear the ocean) is great - includes a hot tub and looks right out to the ocean! Can't get any better than that! PLENTY of room for everybody and with the new beds the place could sleep 14 people! My only complaint would be that the washer and dryer are in the garage (but yes, it has a GARAGE which was great!). You'd have to take the laundry outside, down the stairs and into the garage to do laundry but really that was the ONLY downside! We would definitely stay there again.

View The view from the porch was excellent. A great place to eat and watch the ocean!

Pleasant older cottage, wonderful location The location of this comfortable older cottage couldn’t be better, with immediate beach access and spectacular views up and down the beach from the screened porch and deck. Furnishings are a bit dated, although in good repair, and the updated kitchen is a plus. One drawback is the location of the washer and dryer: on the lower level, and only accessible through the exterior garage door. (Thankfully, the weather was good when we needed to do laundry.)

Great Location The well-stocked and updated kitchen, large dining table, 3 sofas, and comfortable beds make this a rental I would choose again. We enjoyed using the bikes left for us in the garage and having a place to lock up our surfboards was a huge plus! The only things I wish were added are a muffin tin and updated toilets/bathrooms. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again though. I love the “classic, old Outer Banks” vibes. The screened front porch is dreamy. Thank you for a unforgettable week with family and friends!

Great Location & Comfortable Beach Cottage Tambor by the Sea is literally steps from the sand! You can't beat the location--no real dunes to climb over at this house, and location is great--even though it's considered "South Nags Head" you are just barely south, so still very close to Nags Head & Kill Devil Hills if you want things to do. The Outer Banks Fishing Pier is a very easy walk from this house and we went there frequently. Lifeguard stand close by too if you have little ones and want to feel secure. Beds are comfortable, couches are too & the remodeled kitchen is beautiful! Has everything you need! Screened in porch & hot tub are nice--we had some rain during our stay so it was a nice place to hang out and still hear the ocean while sitting on the porch and not getting wet from the rain! The house is an older beach cottage, and seems to need some maintenance--carpets, peeling paint on porch and both storm doors seemed to have issues & we couldn't seem to find a tub stopper for the bathtubs for our youngest son (but managed just fine anyway)-- I can imagine it's a lot to keep up with a beach house right on the ocean with the salty air constantly beating it up. It grows on you LOL and honestly was a very comfortable stay once you get over some of these things. Had a great week! Love visiting the OBX! No place like it!

Nicely up to date older beach house Great older beach house with outstanding ocean views! It’s the perfect size for a smaller group and is decorated perfect for the beach! Updated kitchen is awesome!

Wonderful Ocean Front House. We loved this cottage and our week there was beautiful!! Loved the layout and the gorgeous views any time of the day. Very easy walk to the beach from this cottage especially since we were all seniors.

Very Good My family had a wonderful time visiting the Outer Banks and enjoyed this residence.

Perfect Spot! The house is in the perfect spot; the view is beautiful; no dunes are in the way of your view. Steps down to the beach are right by the driveway. Easy drive to stores and restaurants. The hot tub on the deck and the tall chairs were our favorite things! The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Bedrooms are spacious. Carpet in the bedrooms and hall is old, but everything was comfortable. We would definitely rent Tambor by the Sea again!

Great location and perfect multiple family layout! We had a great time at Tambor by the Sea! The screened in porch has amazing views without getting too much sun! Need taller chairs to see the ocean, but great for keep beach clothes and keeping young kids safely on a deck! Ocean view from almost every room! Walking distance to Fish Heads pier and restaurant. Best place we have ever stayed...2 young kids, parents, aunt, and grandparents all had enough space and together time! Loved it! Hope to return another year!!!
