October Pet Friendly Stay We had a wonderful time staying at Whalebone Villa in October 2026. We would highly recommend this house, especially if you are traveling with pets. We spent a lot of our time in Nags Head and Manteo, so this location is great. The upper floor is very open with multiple decks to enjoy the fresh air. It's a quick walk to the beach as well.
Perfect for Family Fun! This property was in a great location with easy beach access. The home has modern upgrades and appliances. It is full of fun activities and beach gear! Resort Realty was excellent to work with.
Great Week This is the second year we have stayed at this house and have reserved it for next year. The owners have anticipated what their guests would like. My granddaughters enjoyed the pool very much. The only suggestion I have is a grab bar for the tub on the top floor. It is a jetted tub and is very difficult to get in and out.
Another Amazing Vacation! This was our second summer staying at Whalebone Villa and we enjoyed it again. Great location, close/walkable to the beach, the pier, and great food and ice cream. Love the crows nest for sunset over the sound.
Wonderful This was our 2nd year staying at Whalebone Villa. Wonderful amenities and a great location. The pool was perfect and we appreciated the new hot tub! Great way to spend the 4th of July! Would highly recommend this property and Resort Realty
Excellent We loved the house! It was clean and the perfect size for our family. Unfortunately the weather didn’t comply 😞. When we come back to Nags Head we will definitely return to this house 😃

Nice and Comfortable home Our first time at Whalebone Villa! Lots of amenities that were not included in the listing like a regular coffee pot, grill and lots of beach chairs which we appreciated. The pool is not attached to the home but rather in the yard which allowed for a full day of sun!! Nice location. Walking distance to Dune Burger, Sam and Omies and the pier. Quick bike ride to Fatheads too. The pool area could use some work but the pool itself was large as was the deck around it. Inside the home was very comfortable and it was nice that bedroom had a bathroom. Would recommend this property and we already pre booked for next year!
Great pet friendly, large house Stayed with my fiancé’s family for a week with our 2 dogs and everyone had a great time! It’s a great location and the pool is very nice!
Multifamily stay This was our first time with the family group and it was a great time! Enough space for everyone to be together and also have time for themselves. There were plenty of beach chairs available for use (even though we brought our own). We had a few issues getting one or two of the TVs to work on the evening time but it could've been operator error! Huge selection of dishes and a ginormous margarita maker! We had the best time and the ability to see the run rise between the two houses in the morning makes the front deck worth it all!
One of the best! We visit Nags Head regularly, and this location and house was perfect! It is within walking distance of the beach, some local restaurants, and a grocery store. Super relaxing and fun!

An Amazing Vacation The Whalebone Villa was an amazing home to enjoy our vacation in. It was clean and welcoming upon check in. The rooms were spacious and bright. The decorations were beautiful. The pool was refreshing and the Horus was relaxing. The distance to the beach was amazing and so glad we found just walk over. I will definitely continue to consider this home for future vacations.
Whalebone VIlla The property was great. The beds were comfortable. House was the perfect temperature. Location was excellent. Short walk to the beach. Beautiful sunrises and sunset everyday all without leaving the property. Amenities were more than expected. Kitchen was very well stocked. Appliances were newer and in excellent working order. There were a few thing that required a deeper cleaning. The pool area did require our attention. There was garbage and deflated rafts and toys as well as pebbles on the concrete. We threw away what needed and gave a quick sweep and all was right. I think it's just wear and tear from a long season. Overall wonderful property and stay. The pool table football dart board and corn hole boards were nice also.
Great house for a group Pool, Hot Tub, Tiki Bar, game room and a bathroom for each bedroom. Great place.
Great house to rent This is our 5th year coming to OBX and our second year renting Whalebone. We love the house and the location. The house is clean and they did some updating around the pool. Even though the weather was not the best it was close to the aquarium, shopping, restaurants. I would definitely recommend renting this house we will definitely be back.
Close to beach access The house was clean. Beds were ok. It was very close to beach access and there are life guards. Large pool and hot tub was a plus.
