Excellent House was very clean and well equipped, especially the large kitchen. Well furnished house at a nice location on the beach. The pool is large and was enjoyed by the family when not on the beach. Game room was fun for all. No issues during our stay. Great vacation.

Beautiful property.... amazing amenities.....a vacation to remember.... This was our second visit to Karen's Krib. It is a beautiful home with a fabulous floor plan on the upper floor. There is a well stocked kitchen that opens fully to a dining room, living room and spacious bonus game/dining area. There's even an extra little seating room above that! Bedrooms have excellent quality bedding included (one mattress could use an upgrade) and the number of bathrooms is good as well. The game room with its extra bathroom, sink, refrigerator, dishwasher and ice maker are a super addition. You'd be hard pressed to find a better equipped home. While the owners certainly have NO CONTROL over when it happens.... the beach replenishment outside at the beach was a HUGE disappointment this year. Noise, lights and loss of access for several days meant this renter felt as if the premium paid for oceanfront property was NOT well spent this year. As we were celebrating with extended family, we certainly still had a wonderful vacation together. Resort Realty also responded well to the 2 issues that required service while we were there.
Another perfect week This is our third time staying at this home and once again we had a great trip. The home was ready for check in on time (actually a little early) and everything was clean and ready to go. We actually added the pool heat option this time and well worth it water was perfect temperature our entire stay. I would highly recommend this home to anyone considering this for their next vacation. Thank you, Resort Realty.
Hurricane Erin Our family of 15 had a great time. There was more than enough room for everyone to stretch out. The kitchen was well stocked. The elevator made it easy to transport items to the kitchen. My 1 st experience to the outer banks 10/10.
Double Pleasure They had double of everything you needed pretty much…..2 kitchens and main one had double refrigerators, double microwaves, double ovens, double sinks and all the untensils, pots, and bowls that you could want. Plenty of bathrooms and entertainment. It was so convenient to anything you might need. It really was a place that suited our every need.

Another great year at Karen's Krib!! We have been staying at this house for almost 10 years now. Great location, great layout and well kept. Our one request would be an upgrade to the patio furniture down by the pool. One of the reasons we love this house is the pool and we spend late afternoons hanging out there with the whole family, we just wish the chairs were a little more comfy.
Best equipped and organized kitchen! It was truly the best equipped and organized kitchen we’ve ever had at a beach rental. We love to cook and had absolutely everything we needed. And knew where to put it all back. Enjoyed the entire house. Great stay!
2025 Family and friends OBX This is our 10th year visiting the OBX and this was the best house yet! The layout of this house is great. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need, even a large crockpot, oversized electric skillet, and a panini press. Loved the labeling on the kitchen cabinets and drawers making it so much easier to find things. The game room was a family favorite in the evenings and the one rainy day we had. The pool is fantastic and having it heated was a huge plus! The view from the upper deck is exceptional and it was great to have several tall chairs to see over the deck railing. We would definitely stay at this house again!
Excellent Karen's Krib is a great place to spend vacation time in Nags Head! It is a wonderful home with every amenity one could possibly need, all in a perfect location. Would definitely like to come back here again! Thank you.
Karen's Krib Keeping this simple. The owners have supplied the home with all that someone needs for a beach vacation. The home is at the end of a season so a deep clean is needed. Patio furniture needs a cleaning. We enjoyed our time and certainly would consider this home again.
Wonderful vacation The house was beautiful and worked perfectly for a large, extended family. There were multiples of appliances - refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers which was so helpful. The location was excellent. It was within walking distance of Wings and two ice cream shops but the beach was not crowded at all. Great vacation!
Karen's krib We had the best time it was probably a fourth of my family. There was 22 of us. It was the best time they had all the amenities that you could ask for two of everything. It was amazing.

One of the BEST Homes We've Ever Rented We've been renting homes for 8 years since selling our share in a beach home. Prior to ownership we rented for 10 years as well. We've been as far north as Corolla but this was the furthest south we've ever rented. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For our crew the highlights other than its obvious FABULOUS location on the oceanfront were the well-equipped kitchen, the two icemakers, the gameroom, the spacious living area on the top floor and the almost sufficient high deck chairs on the upper deck. We've stayed at houses that have had SOME of those features but never all of them combined. Once you have paid the premium price for an oceanfront property it is WONDERFUL to have enough gear in the kitchen to allow the good cooks in the family to provide meals there. The upkeep of all that was in the home was above average too. The exceptions were: No power to an evidently VERY popular video game, poor drainage in several of the mid level bedrooms, shower lights and towel rack issues in one mid level bedroom, one critical outlet not working in the kitchen and slightly diminished AC in the top level bedroom. If this sounds like a lot, it is NOT compared to many rentals we've had. In fact, were it available for the week we are interested in for next summer we would have already submitted our rental agreement. The homeowners obviously care a great deal about the enjoyment of those who stay in their lovely home.
1st time at OBX Karen’s Krib was as advertised! What a great OBX experience with this property. Location, amenities and much more. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for this type of place.
Wonderful Vacation Home The house was beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of room for a large family and lots of games and activities to keep the family busy. Good ice cream place across the street and a souvenir shop in walking distance. If you want to grill, take own grill or check to see if current grill was replaced. We would definitely go back to Karen's Krib!
Karen's Krib Rating The home was very clean and inviting! We loved everything about the house. Kitchen was well equipped and we loved how all the cabinets were labeled. The family totally enjoyed the hot tub, pool and the game room. We always love putting puzzles together and the puzzle tables was a very big hit!! The elevator was a much needed addition which we really needed with several older adults that had walking problems. The added beach gear credit was a great addition also. Saved us from transporting our own! All in all it was a fabulous vacation! It was GREAT for our whole family with celebrating our 50th Anniversary! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Karen's Krib My family has been coming every other year to OBX for over 50 years and this house was the best house we have ever rented. The house is very nicely furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped and the contents were clearly marked for each cabinet. We had a wonderful week and hopefully, will be able to reserve the same home in 2023.
Excellent Even though the weather was not very cooperative this week, there was so much to do in the house that the kids did not mind. The house was very clean and having all the drawers labeled in the kitchen was a big help!
Great family vacation Great house with amazing views. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of extras and has everything you could need. Plenty of fun without leaving the property.
