Definitely would rent again Loved everything about this home. We arrived to a very clean home and it was a great set up for our needs for the week. The only thing if I had to find something a little disappointing was the grill was in bad shape and we couldn’t find any potholders. But to me the place was still wonderful
Great location! location is everything! Being right on the beach, pool and hot tub access is wonderful! Lots of bedrooms and updated bathrooms, great deck and outdoor furniture with view of ocean. A few things that need updating, Keurig needed descaling did not use, outdoor shower door rusted out, TV's are very small and not smart, would recommend having an umbrella available at the pool deck as it is in the full sun,the carpet needs to be replaced - smells like mildew.
Family fun at Shontee's summer place We had a great time at this house. Everyone liked having their own bathroom. A couple of things...Some of the hotel guests would put trash in our bin from picking up after their dogs. Some appliances (keurig and pop up toaster) did not work but did not put a damper on our vacation. We look forward to reserving this house in the future when we return to OBX.
Shontee summer place Very clean inside. We did have an issue with the downstairs A/C not functioning upon arrival, but the realty company was very responsive. Their maintenance staff was out quickly and It was immediately corrected.<br /> A good functional floor plan. Good beach access.
Excellent another amazing week at shontes and the OBX. we have been coming here for the past 11 years and looking forward to many more!!
summer 2026 vacation a couple small things would make this house perfect. the tvs need to be smart tvs we don’t watch cable anymore and with little kids disney plus access is a must. there is no shade at all at the pool and with young babies it would be essential to have a little shade spot or two this pool can handle it

Easy access How easy was it to walk on the beach? How easy was it to walk to the restaurant? EASY!!! We really enjoyed our stay in this great house with many bedrooms and bathrooms pool, jacuzzi all you want for a large group. Oh and don’t forget the easy walk out the door to the beach. We would definitely rent this one again.
Best house so far. Great house! Perfect location. If there was anything negative it would be the rug at the bottom of the stairs at the main entrance. The tacks were coming through and probably need repair. A couple of us had stepped on the tacks. Also, just ONE sharp knife in the kitchen for next time…. Please!!! 😆

Wonderful vacation Had a terrific time!! Even with Hurricane Debby lurking about. House was very clean and well stocked …thank you One electrical socket blew in the kitchen…reported it but was not resolved. One suggestion.. having a hose on the level that you leave the beach would help keep sardines down. Ty for a terrific week
Excellent We had an amazing time vacationing at Shontee's summer place. The kitchen was full equipped with everything that we needed. The house was clean and organized. The heated pool felt amazing. The waterfront views were spectacular. This really felt like home the week that we were there. We will definitely be back.

Great Location You can't beat being right on the beach. Updated walkway over the dunes (beware of old fence pieces still scattered and embedded in the sand at the bottom of the stairs - we had one injury). The kitchen and bathrooms have been updated - great water pressure in the showers. Would have liked more personal touches in the decor and entertainment. There were no magazines with local entertainment and dining options, no books, no games or puzzles. But we had an amazing time relaxing on the beach and in the pool. The hot tub was too far out of the way to be useful. Nags Head is a great location - not too much traffic and beaches were not crowded.
Awesome! The pictures did not do the views justice! Waking up to a beautiful beach view and sunrise was amazing. The house was also very clean and had all new updates in the bathrooms. The private beach access was great! Would definitely visit again.
Excellent Shontee’s Place is fabulous and well maintained. Everything was pristine!! They have everything you can think of in a home. The minute you walk through the door vacation has began. The kitchen is big and beautiful with stainless steel appliances. They have thought of everything you need in the kitchen. The bathrooms are beautiful and well maintained. The 3 level home is worth what you get and so much more. The inside and outside is well maintained. If you want fabulous ocean front views Shontee’s place is for you.

A Week at Shontee's Summer Place We spent a week at Shontee’s at the end of May. We were very happy with the property and the surrounding area. We had few minor issues but they were taken care of in a timely manner. The house was clean and comfortable; kitchen was well stocked; deck was furnished with more than enough chairs for the family; and the pool was great! The hot tub is out of the way but was still enjoyable. All in all, it was a great week!
Great location Location and views of ocean and sound were great! Comfortable home. Nice size pool. Had a bug issue but Resort realty took care of sending a pest control guy within a day. We had a very pleasant stay here.
Terrific house, views and location Beautiful ocean and sound views. Amenities were as represented. Well stocked kitchen and equipment. Kids loved the pool table and the hot tub is in wonderful shape. Each bedroom was well appointed. Definitely would stay again.
Excellent The house was super clean and well maintained. The views from all the decks were breath taking. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you might need. We were able to relax and enjoy one another very comfortably.

Perfect house for a relaxing getaway close to the sun, sand and surf! 14 of us stayed in Shontee's Summer Place last week- ranging in age from 7 to 80. This house was perfect for us. We had our grandparents stay in the bedroom on the main floor with easy access to the deck (which has an amazing view), kitchen, family room, etc. The kids loved the basement setup and having their own little summer camp spot. Pool water temperature was perfect, amazing location close to so many restaurants for pickup, souvenior shops and ice cream treats. House is close to the water and was not in a congested area the week we visited. Would definitely recommend to other families! Great stay!
Great week at the Outer Banks Shontees Summer Place was a great vacation home we had a great week, thanks to Resort Realty.
Very Good We has a wonderful week. The house had extra beach and kitchen supplies. The pool was very big and we could fit multiple floats in with no issues, we have never been able to do that with any other house. We will be back for sure.
Beautiful location! This home is as close to the beach as anyone could want! A short walk up the path and you are on sand and surf. Wonderful home to rent for family groups of any age with plenty of sleeping arrangements and a bathroom for all. Thank you Resort Realty for helping to make our family reunion a success!
2019 Beach Vacation at Shontees Summer Place Our family has vacationed at OBX since 1995. As the family grew, we increased the size of our rental unit. Shontees Summer Place is perfect for the family.... adequate room, ocean front, pool, hot tub, suitable parking, and a clean home!
Best House We've stayed at a number of other houses, and this is the best as far as size of pool, closeness to the beach, deck furniture, dune not blocking the view. The floors were very clean when we arrived!
Our favorite house! We've stayed at quite a few places in OBX and this is definitely our favorite! The view of the beach is amazing and much closer/less obstructed than other places we have stayed. One word of advice.. be extremely careful walking on the deck/boardwalk without shoes. Toddler ended up with 7 splinters and older child with 5. Other than that, this place is perfect.
Loved our experience with Resort Realty I have been visiting OBX for about 5 years now, and leasing from Reaort Realty was BY FAR the best! I will be using them next year!!
What an Amazing Place This Beach House is Perfect! Location is amazing! The pool, the hot tub, on the beach! Beautiful Views! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. TV's everywhere, cornhole game, chairs with tables on the deck. Easy access to shopping, dining, easy drive to Kitty Hawk. Can't wait to go back!
