Love This House We've been vacationing in the Outer Banks for over 15 years. As time has passed our family has slowly grown and 2-3 bedroom condos just don't cut it anymore. Shell Cottage was a great option. It is definitely more expensive than a condo, but you get a private house with a pool and you are right on the beach. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The owner even sent a cute thank you basket at the beginning of the week. So sweet and thoughtful! Unfortunately, we had a tropical storm impact our stay with rain and high winds all week. The beach was red flagged with no swimming. The cottage is right in the heart of OBX so we filled out time with food, ice cream, go carts and shopping. Best places to eat: Red Drum, Tortuga's, Mulligan's and Kill Devils (BEACH FRIES and Custard). We hope to visit again soon!

Fantastic Home Fantastic home that is spacious and decorated beautifully. The bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect for a vacation of 7-10 people. The backyard pool, grill and volleyball court are perfect for outdoor fun. The "on beach" location can't be beat.

Perfect Smaller Oceanfront Home The Shell Cottage was a perfect combination of classic Nags Head and updated comforts. It is hard to find a smaller size deluxe home that is oceanfront with a pool. Shell Cottage has been lovingly maintained with updated ship lap walls and ceilings, craft furniture, shell decor and big comfortable sofas. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of additional linens. 3 sides of covered porches with cushioned sofas, chairs and a hammock made for lazy morning and afternoon naps. The stretch of beach in front of the cottage was never crowded.

Adorable House This cottage is the most adorable cottage on the East Coast. Whoever decorated is very talented. Every detail from the ceiling to the floor, from front to back is just remarkable. There was every possible kitchen utensil available to make delicious meals by our friends and family. The games, puzzles, cards and books were used often. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay and for the most gorgeous weather for our first time renting at the beach. We played volleyball and cooled off in the pool when we were not on the beach. We will definitely try to come back again!
