Little Outlaw My family returns here yearly because this is, for us, the quintessential cottage. Perfect size, has all the comforts we want and need, without all the superfluous extras we don’t. She has all the charm of an authentic historic Nags Head cottage: from the wonderful porches, decks and private beach to the old wainscot walls and ceilings, lovely old floors and room set up to maximize the breezes if the weather doesn’t require the air conditioning. The artwork is local and joyful, the furnishings very comfortable and the location on the beach is without question the best on the OBX. This is a very happy house! The owner response is quick and kind. See you next year if not before!!!

A delightful week at Little Outlaw cottage There is nothing like a week in an oceanfront beach cottage built the old-fashioned way, with ample decks, a view of the ocean, and the feel of history. Little Outlaw checks all the boxes, from its wood paneled rooms, Kennedy rockers, and panoramic views from the boardwalk platform. We also love the quality appliances and kitchenware. Highly recommended!

Historic Gem As one of the original 13 cottages on the beach, you walk in and feel the history of this special cottage. It has all the wonderful quirks of an old home and all the charm that goes hand in hand with that. If you are wanting to rent a spanking new home with many floors and all glass and stainless steel, then this isn’t for you. This home is for those who love the classics, nestled in the best part of the OBX with its private beaches and timeless, old school homes. Every time we come back to this house it’s like coming home. She has everything you need for a relaxing beach front vacation. This year we were even treated to weather that allowed us to keep her opened up and let the perfectly designed home breathe in the cool sea breezes instead of air conditioning (which of course it has). This house is a treasure for those who seek the epitome of vintage Nags Head.

Week at Little Outlaw The Little Outlaw was everything we hoped and expected! Beautiful old home with all the comforts we wanted and needed in the part of the beach we love so very, very much. Thank you to the family for opening this up for rent! We wouldn’t change one thing about that house❤️

Great place to stay! Owner is great to work with and communicate with. Historic little 120 year old cottage but has everything you need to enjoy your stay at the beach. We had a great time!

Historic and Perfect If your idea is staying in a historic home with all its fun eccentricities this is your place! The sunrises and time at the beach is perfect being in the sweet spot between other large access points, there are no crowds. The beach is your beach! The home is small but spread out so the feel is much larger. Can't wait to come back!

Stayed in Outer Banks History Staying in the Little Outlaw cottage was experiencing Outer Banks history. The quiet beach was exactly what we were hoping for. Although the cottage is older and quirky the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Great week at the beach!

Classic This cottage is a classic! We enjoyed looking at all of the history on the walls. It still has its old charm but has been updated in some ways as well. The locations couldn’t have been better. With small children, the short walk to the ocean was easy. The only downside was the full bath didn’t have air. It got a little stuffy in there, even with keeping the door and window open. But overall, it was a cute cottage with everything we needed.

Great family spot! This was a perfect cottage for a family vacation at the beach. The outdoor spaces couldn't have a better view overlooking the ocean; and it's s a 50 foot walk down the ramp to the beach-which was ideal with a toddler and infant. We enjoyed the classic features of this place. Can't say enough good things about the stay.

Vacay We were very pleased with the cottage. Access to the beach was perfect, very quaint home, loved the decks. Our vacation was during a very busy week but you wouldn't have known it, lots of privacy at the beach, so peaceful. Had all the amenities you would need.
