Wonderful stay The house was perfect for our extended family of 10 adults and 3 children. Upstairs had great big table for all to eat. Kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses, eating and cooking utensils. Bedrooms were comfortable. Backyard pool area and cabana were fun when needed a break from the beach. We also loved the giant chess set in backyard. Beach access was a 5 minute easy walk.
Loved this house! Beyond happy with this house. You can tell the care and thought was really put into it. The house was super clean and well stocked. The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable. We had a group of 10 ranging from 1 1/2- to almost 70. Everyone was very happy and blown away by this home. The backyard was the highlight with of course the kitchen view! The only thing that we could possible say was we were very disappointed about the decorative lights not working out back. We were looking forward to late night chess and the gazebo sitting. But it’s understandable with wear and tear. Resort realty was fantastic to work with and everyone we spoke with was super kind as well. This was honestly the best home we have booked in all of our stays!
Great place to stay. It was clean and hosts were very responsive. They even texted for an available early check in.
The house was great for multiple families coming together. It’s close to the beach, but be prepared to walk a little for beach access. We were able to walk to restaurants around the corner. The host is very responsive, and the pool and hot tub are maintained very well!
Enjoyed the stay here, peaceful and close to the beach
This house was perfect for our sisters’ trip. The pool, hot tub and outdoor spaces were awesome. There was plenty of space for us. We enjoyed the delicious restaurants nearby. The only thing that bothered us was the listing clearly stated a 4:00 check in time when we booked in September. However it was changed to 6:00. My sisters noticed this as well. Then the day before our arrival we were told for an additional fee we could get an earlier check in time which we did pay. The house was great, though. The kitchen and living room were very spacious. It was a great choice!
Fantastic time (Mermaids Lagoon Our group had a wonderful time, the house had plenty of space and enough activities for all, a few minor things could be looked into, perhaps having the stove service and the outside setting area light did not work, but other than that I would definitely stay at the mermaids lagoon again.
Excellent We have stayed here for the past 4 years and love everything about this property except it is a little far from a beach access! The back yard is what brings us back every year though ! The owner actually sent me a thank you gift this year and sadly we won’t be able to come back next year because we have a graduation trip planned for 2 of my grandchildren in July next year to Destin Florida! Hope to be back in 2027 though!

Mermaids Lagoon We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well maintained. It was nicely decorated with quality in mind. If we stay in Nags Head again we would choose this property.
Mermaids Lagoon We love staying here because we have almost everything we would want to have! There are a few maintenance items that need to be addressed! There should be TV access in all the bedrooms…not just dvd. The backyard needs some attention…there are some big holes under the astrotruf that need to be filled. Other than that we love Mermaids Lagoon
Lovely Stay! Mermaid's Lagoon served our family of 10 and a family dog very well! It is so spacious with plenty of room for all. I loved how light and open the top level was. And I loved being able to look out the kitchen windows at the ocean. The pool area was great too. We sat many late afternoons and evenings under the cabana just off of the pool deck. The icemaker in the refrigerator didn't work but we just got bags of ice and it was fine. Resort Realty was phenomenal to work with. I wasn't going to even bother asking them to look at the icemaker but then the handle to the door leading to the top deck broke and Resort came very quickly to fix the door. They never got the icemaker to work but it didn't affect us at all. I highly recommend Mermaids Lagoon to anyone with a large group and a family pup!
Excellent This house was well furnished and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was the distance to public beach access and often no parking available at Enterprise or Loggerhead.i

Great home! Great vacation! We had NEVER been on a family vacation for various reasons so this was our first in 40 years! Our 3 boys and their families all came down! We had such a great time! Everyone loved the pool and hot tub! The time spent cooking and just relaxing was what we all really needed! It was definitely a much needed vacation!!
