So close to beach This location is perfect! Right by a beach access and can walk to good restaurants and ice cream. The house could use some updating so it really depends on what you came to the beach for. It is a historic cottage so floors are uneven and slanted. Drawers in kitchen were difficult to open. No crockpot but rest of kitchen was well appointed for cooking. The bathroom looked like it was attached to the room with a king bed but was not; off the kitchen and the king room had a weird little room attached with a sink and closet. Good for brushing teeth. The showers are small squares and my 3 big guys said not their favorite but they worked. The deck on the roof was wonderful view and we used it every day, watching sunrises and stars at night. The house in front of us was also rented so u do have that traffic going by your house. Only room for 3 cars FYI, which worked for us. Right by the road so of course you hear that noise too. The chairs at dining table did not feel sturdy so we all sat elsewhere...not sure why have two dining tables in house this small. They had bought a new fridge since all of the paperwork was still in or on the fridge, and they left the plumbing parts on counter. Don't expect a perfectly staged vacation house and you will be fine. Overall we had a wonderful trip, mostly because of the location and the deck.

Excellent The home was ready on time and was clean. A few essentials were provided along with the linens which made the first day an easy one. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking meals. this home provided what we needed for a comfortable stay. Slight issue with the TV/Remote was resolved immediately. I would definitely consider this property again for a future stay.

Charming Cottage We had a lovely week! The location is great; we could walk to Lucky 12, Tortugas, and the Nags Head Pier. The rooftop deck is perfect for sunning, lounging and evening cocktails. The owners and their sweet pup even stopped by to say hi! What a friendly, personal touch. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay Parking and access was easy. Public beach access nearby was a blessing and a curse. Nice to have the lifeguard so close. Lots of early morning horn beeping as the scuba group 2 mornings met in the lot prior to going to the beach for their lessons (as they all locked their vehicles, there was a "beep beep" x10 cars or so at 7 a.m). The bed in the primary BR was great! A little weird for the primary BR to have to go the the bathroom in the one that was across the kitchen, though the bathroom was really nicely redone. There was a stand alone sink in the primary bedroom closet area which we did not use but did notice it has a bit of a constant drip. Nice fridge and stove and dishwasher, silverware drawer was rickety with the front nearly off of the sides of the drawer. That will likely break off before the summer is over. Kitchen could use a few more things that would make cooking easier (measuring cups and a few more baking dishes). There were ample places to eat and hang out, good tv. Nice to have the washer and dryer.LOVED the rooftop deck! A few things that would've made our stay better: a real shower head on the outdoor shower (just a pipe without a shower head), a light outside for the porch (maybe it was burned out?), and coverings that could be rolled down on the two doors for entry- all those glass window panes in both doors that open 12' from the first row of parked cars in the public lot next door made us feel a bit "on display" at night when you could clearly see into the house. Overall it was a comfy space that accommodated 6 adults well.

Really enjoyed our stay!! We all really enjoyed the home. The location couldn't of been any better. We got the opportunity to meet the owners and talk about the history of the house... it has such a cool story. The layout and beds were exactly what we needed. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great Spir This house is at a great location. We stayed here over 4th of July week. We were able to walk to and from the beach easily. There's views of the ocean from the top deck. It is next to a public beach access but it wasn't noisey or bothersome. Kitchen is fully stocked. Bedrooms were good for us (had 4 adults and 2 kids). Beds were comfortable, linens all very clean. Bathrooms are nice, has nice adjustable shower head for us thick haired ladies! Was great to have a washer and dryer. There are books to read, puzzles and games. All 3 bedrooms had ceiling fans and additional fans with was nice. I felt like the house kept it temperature very well but was nice to have the extas if needed. The only downsides we found is we wish there was a covered decking or patio area. Was hard to hang out outside constantly in the sun. Also would like more seating on the top deck - only 3 plastic chairs so we brought our bag chairs up and down. Lastly there are 2 front doors and 1 doesnt even have a lock on it...which is weird and yes it does open. Resort Realty has been a great company to rent through. Staff were very nice. Reservation, check in & check out were easy and simple!

Charming, great location Charming, old fashioned, has everything you need. Needs some repairs to screens in the windows, fans, but I understand that’s in the plans. Excellent price for what you get. Very easy beach access. It’s right by the public beach access which can be a plus or a minus depending on what you like. Highly recommended.
