Best Weather Ever! We love staying at Richardson. Plenty of room for everyone (9 adults). This was our second time at this home, and will likely be there again. The front and rear covered porches are just perfect for watching the sunrise over the ocean and sunset over the dunes and you can still sit outside and not get wet if it’s raining. Beach access is good unless you have mobility issues. The dune is pretty steep. The kitchen has everything you need, there are bathrooms in every bedroom plus one 1/2 bath off the kitchen. Would love it if the owner put back the tall chairs that were on the front porch, we definitely could have used them. We were there for two weeks and had a fantastic time!

My Dream Cottage The Richardson cottage is a beautifully decorated and equipped oceanfront cottage. After vacationing for over 30 years in the Outer Banks, this was my first stay in Nags Head. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is a great bonus feature. The beach was very quiet and the oceanfront view from the porch rockers & swing was a relaxing way to start our day with coffee and end with happy hour. Thank you for sharing your lovely home for a much needed vacation for this caregiver and her adopted sister. The staff at Resort Realty were a pleasure to work with as well.

Richardson 5451 Rocks! We had such a great time at this house. It’s perfect for an adult vacation, with each room having its own bathroom and a king or queen bed. Didn’t miss a game room either. The covered porches were clutch, and the views front and back were great! The beach access was good, but if you have mobility issues (me) it was a struggle getting up the dune lol. We would definitely book this home again. It is in a perfect location!

Fabulous! Just right for our family. Very comfortable, clean and easy access to the beach made it perfect.

Wonderful Vacation Home The Richardson is a fabulous oceanfront home! It was a comfortable, well-equipped home with the most perfect location! Quiet beach! The owners have certainly done a great job in making this vacation place a "home away from home". Our family made some amazing memories last week and we thank the Richardsons for allowing us to vacation in their beautiful home. I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Richardson when we checked in and she is just as delightful as can be. Thank you again!!

Vacation experience Another perfect summer vacation in the best home we have found in the Outer Banks over 10 years vacationing for our family. Coming back next year.

6th year It’s hard to say anything I haven’t already said about this house over our last 5 stays here. We return to The Richardson Cottage every year for the prime location and the comfort of the house. The 5 master bedrooms fit our group. It’s truly a home away from home for us. The new kitchen could not have been done any better and lacks nothing!

Excellent This home met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations! It was cozy and inviting but also had all modern amenities! The only negative part of our week was the weather! But at least we had a lovely home to relax in while the wind whipped and the rain fell and the cold fog rolled in...I've already reserved for next year. Hopefully we'll get to enjoy the beach as well as the home!

Excellent Beautiful home Great location.

Can't get enough of a great thing Everyone loved the kitchen update and my wife and I also enjoyed the MB bathroom changes. We have Rebooked by unanimous consent. Everyone thinks we have found the best place in Nags Head, the beach is so private and convenient and the house being so nicely decorated and equipped. A note for information just in case this is not normal and known. With the new gas range we noticed intermittent smell of gas on both decks and a few times near the kitchen but with the ventilation we concluded that there was no real concern. PS housekeeping got us in before 4:00 which is greatly appreciated. Thank you Looking forward to 2023.

Lovely Due to its location, it may just be the best house in Nags Head. An almost empty beach in the middle of July. And the house itself is beautifully appointed and has every thing you need.

perfection this was our 5th time renting 5451-Richardson Cottage. Its everything we could want in a rental home. The 5 master bedrooms, location and upgrades make it so special...plus the TLC from the owners shows all throughout the home.

Great house in a great location Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. Having a separate bathroom in each bedroom was an awesome feature. The kitchen was obviously newly remodeled and the appliances and layout is top notch. When we return to Nags Head we will certainly return to this home.

Family Fun Our family had a great week again at this family friendly beach house. The short easy to access and the almost private beach atmosphere is the best around. The large shaded porch with plenty of seating is also a favorite. Coming back again.

Excellent We have stayed in this house for our June vacation for the last 4 years and already booked the 5th year. In the last 30 years of OBX vacations, this is the best house by far. It's not only the location and layout of the house that makes it special, it is also the owner's obvious love of the house. The Richardson house is well furnished and equipped.

Best of OBX We have visited OBX for 40 years. This is by far the BEST house we've stayed in. Oceanfront view from the deck is a great way to start and end your days. We also enjoyed watching the hang gliding and visitors to Jockey's Ridge every day. Kitty Hawk Kites mall is within walking distance and we visited daily. The wet bar, grill and fully stocked kitchen provided the tools to enjoy delish home-cooked meals. Each bedroom is its own suite, which provided enough privacy for each branch of our family. The house has plenty of fun games to enjoy on those rainy days. We highly recommend Richardson 5451 for your next trip to the OBX.

3rd year but not the last We love this house. The location, layout and view are perfect. We will be back for the 4th time next year.

Excellent This was a wonderful house. There was room for everybody. My family had their own private bathrooms. The area was great for my grandchildren to walk to jockeys Ridge. Lovely house amazing porches, views of the ocean and outdoor shower.

The Best Ever at OBX My family and I have vacationed at OBX for many years and have used many homes during our week there. The unanimous opinion is that we have found the best ever home. We loved the last one but with a change in weeks we got bumped so I found this home and based on pictures we all felt good with the selection but approached with questions. Immediately we were sold that we had lucked into a great home. Love the size and decor. The shaded porch and chairs was very popular. Beach access and beach was great. We have applied for rental for next year and hope to not get bumped.

Second visit but not the last This is our second year in the Richardson cottage. It is such a comfortable house with a spectacular view and a great location. We will be back for many years to come.
