“Great Location/Family Friendly The Blue Heron is located in a very nice and quiet subdivision, mere steps from the beach access and within walking distance to many establishments. We had no issues throughout our week-long stay. The house had ample kitchen supplies, games, puzzles, pool floats, and some sand toys and beach chairs. The house had ample space and restrooms for a large family, although we did not use the second floor. The pool area is very nice, it was our toddlers favorite place to be. While most surface areas and bathrooms were clean, it is not a sparkling-clean place. The house is quite dated, the deck is old, and the walls are rather dirty (it is so obvious because all the walls are white). Therefore, it could be considered the perfect place to stay with kids, as a dirty handprint here and there would likely blend in. We had a great time at Blue Heron and look forward to staying there again in the future. Things to note: there are no ceiling fans in any of the bedrooms (we picked up a standing fan at Wal-Mart), no tv in the 3rd floor master bedroom, and no lights in the pool area (can see decently after dark with the second floor deck lights on but, in my opinion, not well enough to safely supervise children in the pool).”
