Fleur de Duck We had a wonderful time for a week stay at Fleur De Duck. Schooner Ridge is a fantastic neighborhood to stay in with it's proximity to town and also the amenities like the gyms, tennis courts and pools. But the house was fantastic! It was exceptionally clean and was well appointed. There was not one thing lacking from the kitchen to the chairs/umbrellas and beach games. The decks were amazing! We could not say enough. The only reason I gave it Very Good instead of excellent is that it could use a little updating and it is a bit of a walk to the beach, but really, it was amazing! Even the beds were comfortable with great mattresses...and that says a lot. Don't hesitate to book!

Great house, great community We loved our stay at Fleur de Duck. This is the fourth year we have stayed in this house, and we’ve tried lots of houses during our 30+ years of vacationing on OBX. We love that it is walking distance to shops and to ocean. We love that it is slightly smaller which works for our smaller group without expense of paying for rooms we don’t need but still giving us generous space and access to the community amenities, which include pools and gym. The house has everything you need and this year a new hot tub. The owners are always updating and keeping things in good condition. My only caveat is if you have someone who WANTS to walk to the beach but who isn’t super mobile, it is a bit far from the ocean. That said, there is a pretty easy drop off spot and permit parking in a lot that is closer than the house. This was not a problem for our family this year at all but has been in the past, but I’d still say the house is worth it if you have someone who can make the one-minute drive to the beach access point to drop off someone who can’t walk as readily. Well kept, well appointed, well loved—just right for us. Honestly if I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would.

We love it here! We love being at Fleur de Duck. We had everything we needed and were really comfortable. We love being in walking distance to ocean, to coffee spots, to pools, and more. The home is furnished well with everything in good repair. Everything worked great while we were there. Love the keyless entry because you don't have to go pick up keys and checkout is easy, too. This was our third time at this house, and we hope to be back. We've been coming to OBX for 30 years and this is our favorite house to stay in.

Wonderful House We loved this house. It was absolutely perfect and well maintained. Had everything we needed for our family of 7. The kitchen was well appointed and the distance to the beach access was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great home! This home is well kept and the kitchen has all you need. Comfortable living room and beds. The gas grill was a great bonus! It is close to shops, the beach, and the community pools were a nice benefit.

Great stay The house was great and has had some updates not shown by pictures. The outdoor decking and furniture was recently replaced. It’s lovely on the top deck. The house was well equipped but could use a refresh on some of the pots and pans etc. that said, we cooked in several meals and there were plenty of supplies. Excellent proximity to beach and town and the schooner ridge amenities are fantastic. Plenty of beach chairs were provided. We rented umbrellas and chairs but only needed the umbrellas. Hot tub worked well as did the gas grill. It was great to have our dog and this house was one of the best we rented that allowed dogs. It was very clean and did not smell doggy. We would definitely rent here again.

Great House!! Great house, we absolutely loved it. The top deck is a thing of beauty and the hot tub was awesome. Please have someone come and murder all the spiders. Thank you for a great two weeks! Sam

Fantastic Home and Neighborhood We have been coming to the Outer Banks for years. For many seasons, we stayed at the same home that my mom rented. Since she passed, we have bounced around from house to house trying to find our new home away from home. This year we think we found it. We have already requested to have this home again next summer. Fleur de Duck was well maintained and perfectly furnished for our family of 7. We cooked a family dinner each night and had everything we needed in the well-appointed kitchen. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The hot tub was in a great location and in good condition, kept sparkling. The hammocks and outdoor chairs were in great shape, and we loved sitting on the decks of this home. We loved the neighborhood. Our family likes to go the gym, and the neighborhood fitness center was a real plus because in the past we have traveled way down below Nagshead to get to a gym everyone could enjoy. That just takes too much time out of the day. The Schooners Ridge Fitness Center had great equipment rather than just a "hotel treadmill" that you find in some places. The neighborhood also comes with three pools. We didn't end up using any of them because it was just a great beach week (water not cold, no jellyfish), but we were glad they were there and everything looked tip top. The walk to the beach was not hard or too long and made easier because of the great beach wagon included with the house. The beach chairs were in great condition and better than any beach chairs that have come with any rental we have had in the past ten years. This is a small thing in one way but every person in our party was delighted with having such good chairs! Furniture was comfortable and beachy but in excellent condition. While this is a pet-friendly home, there were no pet smells or mildew smells. Plenty of parking for this size home. Oh, and keyless entry is a DREAM! No extra trips to the office. And the Duck location is just excellent. Walk or bike to coffee or shopping. If I could rate this home higher than excellent, I would. It is the perfect fit for our family, and we hope our reservation for next year will be confirmed so we can come back to Schooners Ridge and Fleur de Duck. Rent here. You will be glad you did!
