Perfect location and House layout Our family enjoyed Dabbling Duck! We loved the view of the bay and the newly renovated upper deck. The layout of the house was perfect for our family as each family unit had their own space and bathroom. We didn’t use the outside shower as much as we usually do as there wasn’t hot water out there. The walk to the beach was pleasant and we liked being close to Duck. The kitchen was well stocked! We loved the fiesta ware and large amount of silverware. The pool was fun for kids! We didn’t get to enjoy the night lights but that was a fun feature! Thanks for a great week!

Overall it was a perfect location. Great for 3 generations of family!

Fun family vacation The Dabbling Duck hosted our crew of 14 very well for the week. The view from the kitchen window will have you volunteering to wash dishes all week! It is a short walk to the beach and the pool at the house was a definite plus! There was plenty of space for us to spread out. The pillows were a little flat but other than that sleeping was comfortable. The Duck boardwalk and town shops are a quick drive and quaint space. Overall, a great time and space vacationing with family.

Is this the one? We’ve been staying in Duck for several years now and as every house we’ve stayed in was nice, we never found the one that we would say was perfect. But, Dabbling Duck just may be the one! Lots of space to spread out,comfortable furniture, beautiful pool area, multiple deck space on each level and most importantly(at least to me), were the views, absolutely beautiful!!! We rented kayaks that we could easily walk across the street and put in the sound, also rented bikes to use to get our morning lattes and iced coffees. Beach is an easy walk and not crowded at all. All in all… we think this is the one and are looking forward to returning next year❤️

Delightful Stay at Dabbling Duck Our family had a wonderful week staying in the fabulous surroundings of Dabbling Duck. The six bedrooms were very comfortable, the upper level family living area was great, and we loved the pool.

Perfect for our extended family The house was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped, which is key for us to have a relaxing vacation. The beach was a short walk or ride away. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and we spent a lot of time in them. Just be aware that you will be going up and down multiple flights of stairs daily to get from bedroom to kitchen and outside. It wasn't a problem for us, but might be for some. The only thing that would stop us from staying here again would be the traffic. It took us one and a half hours to get to the property from Kitty Hawk - only six miles - on move in day!

clean and well appointed home house was fine---pool area was great---good shade---views are great in front of home on the decks---kitchen is setup well with proper kitchen needs-- would suggest new pillows for all the beds---also new comforters would stay again public dock across street

Well worth it! The Dabbling Duck was the first house we visited that feels like an actual family home that someone allowed us to stay in. The house had everything that you need in this price range including a private pool and a hot tub, which were clean and the temperature was perfect. The sunset over the sound is great from the front deck but even better from the kitchen window. We were even in luck with the Fig tree in the side yard as it was giving us fresh fruit all week. The public access to the sound across the street made it great for early morning Kayak trips. Thank you for letting us share your house.
