Great place for families and close to Duck shopping! We loved our stay. The house is well laid out and was clean when we got there.

Great home in a great location The house had plenty of spacious rooms and bathrooms, and everyone found the beds very comfortable. The location is quiet yet within walking distance to the beach, which was perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the variety of outdoor seating areas.

Relaxing Outer Banks getaway with friends The Salty Sandpiper is located in a cozy community of Duck which provides you the opportunity to relax in a quiet area with easy access to the beach while still being in close proximity to the town center for dinners, shopping, or a night out. The home itself feels well kept and is perfect for families or groups to come together. We especially enjoyed the large upper deck and great room allowing everyone to interact and socialize in a shared space. Will definitely be coming back!!

Great area Lovely neighborhood, Quiet tree-lined streets. Private beach one block away.

Amazing vacation! We stayed here with a group of 6 people and had a really great time! The house is beautiful, spacious, and has a lot of porch space! It’s just a five minute walk from the beach and a 15 minute bike ride from town. We plan to visit again next year (if not sooner!). It’s a perfect getaway. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Tranquil getaway in OBX We really enjoyed our stay in this home. The neighborhood is quiet - not much traffic and lots of shady trees.From the top deck, you’re in the tree canopy and it’s a unique experience. The kids loved riding their bikes around the block as well as spending time at the beach. A quick walk takes you to a pier on the sound that is a lovely place to watch the sunset. While not right on the beach, it’s only a five minute walk to get there, and we enjoyed the friendly neighbors and the sweet smelling jasmine flowers near the dunes.

Needed Family Vacation Everything was an easy process. From seeing the info online, communication during the year, and staying at the property then saying goodbye. All a satisfying experience!

Great house and beach location! Loved our stay at the Salty Sandpiper! My sister and I stayed with our partners for a week just to work from somewhere other than home, and it was perfect. Walking distance to the beach and the sound, lots of privacy, and a short drive from anywhere you'd want to go in Duck (and central to both Corolla and the more southern OBX). Hot tub was a huge bonus (we used it nearly every night) and the house had lots of room so we all had our own space. I will say, take the binder's warnings about the midges (small annoying but harmless bugs in the area) seriously! Nothing the property owners can do about them, being near water just brings them out, but definitely listen to the binder's advice on how to deal with them!

Lovely home in a lovely neighborhood This house is in a perfect location. The beach and sound are both within walking distance, but the beach--the main attraction--is the easiest to get to. The house is spacious and fits folks comfortably.

Beach house with everything you could need Ideal for family or friends. We stayed here for a week and could have stayed for another two if it were up to us. Rooms are big, deck is big, super close to the beach and an easy 3 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride in to town for anything else you could need. The living room is perfect for hosting game night with a large group. The deck is ideal for hosting a big barbecue dinner. We loved every minute of our stay and are circling dates to return next year!

The perfect cozy getaway We stayed with a small group at the Salty Sandpiper in Duck and had the most perfect trip. We took a daily trip to the beach, which is a simple five minute walk up the street. And we essentially had the beach to ourselves with patrons spread out across miles of sand. Another day we too the bikes out for an early morning ride into Duck for some Duck Donuts (a must have). The tree lined streets in the neighborhood provided us with a wave of calm every time we returned home. And the location was absolutely perfect: close enough to the town if we needed a morning coffee but removed from any bit of crowds or traffic. There is enough space in the home to comfortably fit 8-10 people, so it’s great for a family or group. The upper deck, grill, and hot tub made hanging at the home a blast for everyone. We’re already trying to figure out what weekend to come back in 2021!
