Great Place (Again) -- some concern on equipment
This was our second year, which included two babies. We needed a high chair, which was quickly supplied. Excellent! The beach umbrella separately ordered was defective, but quickly replaced. So that was good. The concerns were on the gas grill not working and the house-supplied beach furniture/gear was sharply reduced from the previous year (less chairs and most importantly, no boogie boards).<br />

Otherwise, we love the house, the neighborhood, and the specific location. We will likely try to rent this again!!
Excellent oceanfront home
We just enjoyed a beautiful week at this property. The layout is perfect for two families, with two en suite bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and the living area is great for evening hangouts. From the upper deck you can see ocean and sound, and it’s just 100 steps from the carport to the sand. I wish I’d booked two weeks :)
Paradise? No, but close!
Spacious, with a lot of glass! Proximity to the beach is unmatched and the quantity of foot showers (all over!) is MUCH appreciated! Great light and space to have board games with the families, along with very comfortable beds in all rooms. The kitchen also allows the chef in our family to go at it with no restraints. Well done!
Second Year Renting this House
We thoroughly enjoy this house! This is our second year to rent and have signed up again for 2025. The house was very clean, orderly and has all the necessary kitchen equipment. New TV was a plus! You need to replace the Mr. Coffee.....the warmer unit doesn't work anymore......fortunately we found a carafe! Great rental, great location....thanks and see you next year!
Herring Gull Review
Everything about Herring Gull sets you up for a fantastic beach vacation. The property is kept up to a very high standard - the decking is like new, they have two outdoor showers, the grill is in great working condition and plenty of propane, and they have installed foot rinsing stations at all the right spots. Inside the home is thoughtfully appointed with much of the kitchen equipment like new. We were so happy during our stay in July 2023!
Lovely and Well-equipped
Herring Gull is a lovely and comfortable home where our family was able to safely reconnect and enjoy the beauty of the Outer Banks. We appreciated the all of the kitchen tools and counter space.
Our stay at Herring Gull
Our family had an amazing week at Herring Gull. The house is updated, clean and well furnished. We loved the big open top floor with the kitchen, family room and dining area. We also spent a lot of time in the evening on the huge deck. The beach area was beautiful and felt very private.
Great Beach Week!
Very comfortable home for our family of 8. We loved sitting in the deck chairs and watching the dolphins swim by. Spacious kitchen and living area, short walk to the beach!
