We had a great time! The only issue we had was the spines in the yard. The dog kept getting them in her paws. We had to take her on walks to use the bathroom because she couldn't use the grass at the house.<br /> The house had everything we needed including chairs and beach toys. It was clean and comfortable.
Great location. Easy check in and out. Beautiful place just needs a couple of updates. Even with that i still would book again with the same host.

A Dream of a week This house was beyond our expectations! Upon our arrival the entire house was immaculate and so clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor closet was well stocked with nice beach chairs and toys. With an easy, short walk to the beach through the beautiful, well maintained neighborhood made the week definitely a Dream Come True!
Great Location, very close to beach! This house was exactly what we wanted: in Corolla, easy walk to the beach, hot tub, allows dogs, king sized bed. The check in and check out were super easy! The kitchen had all of the basic equipment to prepare meals and the grill (charcoal) was clean. Bonus: the hot tub is on the upper deck so there is a view of the ocean from the hot tub! Some of the bathrooms are a bit dated and basic but this house had everything we needed for a great week at the beach!

Just what was needed Our extended family beach trip to 1849-Dream Come True in August of 2021 was just what our family needed. Location was a five minute walk to the beach, no need to cross any big roads. The tennis court was just as accessible. If you need a quick grocery run (again walking distance), the crosswalk at the big road was extremely helpful. Biking in the Outer banks is always a joy. Very easy and safe for dog walking as well. And there was plenty of shopping, restaurants and activities in the Corolla area to keep our family entertained. The house met our needs, well stocked kitchen, plenty of storage, not to mention the puzzles and games provided for those rainy days. The upper deck had views of the sunrise and the lower deck was perfect for a shady reading spot. We never felt over crowded in the house even with 14 of us plus a dog, plenty of space to spread out. It was a nice, comfortable place to create lasting memories and we appreciated the opportunity to do so.
Great house - close to the beach House was clean and spacious. Easy walk to the beach and was great for gatherings/large groups. Views of the ocean from the crows' nest were amazing. Beds were comfy and linens were clean. Highly recommend.
Perfect name for the house Everything was just as we had hoped it would be. Very comfortable. Ocean views was an added bonus. Very well stocked. Just an all around great vacation house. That's way we rented again 9/4-9/11.

Families making memories This house was perfect. Loved the way it had an open concept so our families could be a part of everything. The beach was just a few houses away. We made some wonderful memories in this house and hope to return next year.
