First rate home and first rate weather! Would recommend anyone that wants a five bedroom home to rent brownies retreat. It offered everything our family needed plus more!

We had a great peaceful stay, minor complications but got resolved quickly! Would definitely come back but later in year. Ocean was too cold & pool was too cold! Beautiful home inside and out and cozy!

Worth the money The location is its best asset.. Less than a couple minutes walk to beach or pool. We used both every day. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. We had 10 adults and one child. Kitchen was stocked of plenty of dishes and cooking accessories. We will be back.

Excellent Perfect size for our family (3 grown kids and significant others, and 2 grandkids) Probably the cleanest house we've ever rented and well stocked! Thank you!

Location and price The property is a little worn but the location can't be beat, making it a great value for the area. The layout is great, too.

Wonderful Beach Retreat! We had two families staying at Brownie's Retreat and all of us were very happy with the accommodations. The beds were comfortable; the air conditioning could be controlled on each level; and the kitchen had everything we needed (except for kitchen shears). The carpet smell was a little funky when we moved in, but dissipated in a couple of days. Otherwise, the house was clean, tidy and bright. Best of all was the location of Brownies Retreat. The house is only 3 houses away from the walkway to the beach. Fabulous! If we return to the OBX in the future, I will not hesitate to lease Brownie's Retreat again.

Very Nice Other than the beds being a little to hard the stay was great. The house was spacious and furniture in the living room was great and comfortable. Good location for the short walk to get to the beach and reasonably priced. hot tub was prenominal. Lots of beach chairs to choose from to take with you to the beach for the day. Would be nice to have a gas grill instead of the charcoal grill. Would stay here again but because it is no pets allowed we will have to look for a different home our next visit and 2 of us want to bring our dogs down next time.

Memorial Day Week 2021 House was situated perfectly between the ocean & the community pool with plenty of room for our week to the OBX with our 4 children, 2 daughters-in-law & 4 grandchildren. Enjoyed the hot tub, bikes, & beach chairs, too.

Great vacation home! Brownie’s Retreat was an excellent beach home. The location is great with a very short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well appointed with good cookware. We normally travel with our beach chairs but this year we didn’t have room to bring them. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house had the same chairs we would have brought. We used the first floor bedroom as the hangout room for the kids. Thanks to the owners for providing a Roku with all the premium channels which allowed us to have movie day when we had rain. We would have preferred having a gas grill, but I expect they are hard to maintain with renters. It may also be time to have the agitator on the washing machine looked at. Besides those few things we had a wonderful time in this home!

Loved the Extras The house had great beach chairs and bikes available. The hot tub was great.
