Excellent Nice home - well equipped and maintained. Sound views are amazing. Wish the pool was not so cold.

Excellent The home was perfect - it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was so well equipped with pots, pans, etc., the bathrooms were spotless. It was nice to have the few extra beach chairs in the outside closet available, as well as the umbrella. The only very minor detail was the pool was constantly full of pine needles from the trees - we spent a lot of time cleaning those out. They also clog the pool filters so the water wasn't moving as much. Otherwise, perfect stay.

Lasting Memories This home was top of the line with comfortable bedding and a well stocked gourmet kitchen. Best counter ice maker- a hit with everyone! The view was spectacular. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Great amenities within the resort including a pool, pickle ball and playground. Walking distance to the ocean! We had the best vacation!!

Beautiful Gift of the Sound This beautiful home lived up to the description given to us. The house was very clean, and well maintained. The view of the sound was gorgeous and especially the sunsets. There were six adults and three children and even on the rainy days we had plenty of room inside to watch tv, put puzzles together, cook in the beautiful and well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was a big hit and the pool was too cold for our liking. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Wonderful stay.

Family Vacation Gift of the Sound is a beautifully maintained and stocked house. The views of the sound were incredible and our whole family enjoyed the private sunset view every night! It is such a short distance to all the local attractions and beach. The bedrooms are all well designed and the kitchen was above average with supplies for almost anything you could want to cook. This property is one we will surely rent again next time!

Great House Enjoyed the house very much. Loved being on the sound. Caught numerous crabs. Loved the location and all the benefits of the clubhouse. Pool was tough to swim in because of all the pine needles in the pool after some windy and rainy nights. Enjoyed everything else though. Thanks for letting us use your house. Would rent again.

A wonderful second visit! This was our second year staying at the Gift of Sound. It has a great location in Corolla. The beach access is very easy. Both the house pool and the community pool were fun. It has amazing views of the sound. The best part is the comfort.It is one of the rare rentals with excellent mattresses and a well designed layout. We are planning to visit again!

The beautiful sunset on the dock right in our backyard made the perfect family pictures! The best part of our experience with Resort Realty was the service and easy check in/ out. I asked for a comforter and it seemed like I had just put the phone down and the comforter had arrived at our front door. Mobile check in/out was AMAZING! With 5 kids you don’t want to wait to check in at a desk. We loved our first experience with Resort Realty.

Excellent This home had everything we needed for a long Veteran's Day weekend getaway! The home was clean, spacious. The dock was perfect for fishing, even though we missed the Red Drum season. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was overly stocked with everything we needed to make our family meals!

Freeze Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at the Gift of the Sound. This home had everything you needed. The kitchen was very well supplied with all small appliances, dishes, pots and pans needed. The home was very clean, and the views of the sound were beautiful. We deffinately would recommend this home.

Relaxing stay Lovely home, quiet location. Kitchen had all the items we needed. Property had lots of shade and a nice dock to the sound. Caught a few crabs in the provided crab cages. Home was very clean and well maintained. Bottom level has a strong musty odor which could be bothersome to those sleeping down there (we didn’t use that room). Overall a wonderful experience and we would stay again.

Outer Banks Vacation - A “Gift of Sound” The Gift of Sound is the perfect vacation rental for a family vacation. The home is located directly on the sound. The views of the sound from the home are amazing, especially the sunsets. The house is bright, open, spacious and welcoming. With five (5) bedrooms our family of 10 was very comfortable. The owner has thought of everything and has stocked the home with everything a family needs. We have stayed in many vacation homes and this home stands out by far. The house was clean and well maintained. Our family enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock, swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub. The property has many amenities that includes a community clubhouse with access to a gym and tennis courts. Gift of Sound is close to local businesses: restaurants, gift shops and grocery stores. It is the perfect property for a family vacation.

Fantastic Rental Home!!!!! We have rented a bunch of beach houses over the years for our family vacations, but I can honestly say this is the best rental we have ever had. There was plenty of room for our party of 9. The common areas are spacious allowing us to all gather for meals, games and conversation, but there was also plenty of privacy when a break was needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. The owner certainly understands that large groups need lots of "stuff" and was very thoughtful in providing plenty of plates, silverware, coffee cups, pots, pans, casserole dishes.....the list goes on and on. The pool and hot tub were outstanding. They had been serviced just before we arrived and were serviced again mid-week to make sure we had clean water in each for the entire stay. The landscaping was beautiful. There were plenty of beach chairs provided and the pool and deck furniture was comfortable and accommodated our whole group. The sound access was very nice and the steps down to the water made it easy to launch our canoe and multiple kayaks. From the dock we caught red drum, perch, and catfish. We used the provided traps and crab pot to catch about 25 keeper sized blue crabs which we added to our low country boil. I enjoyed photographing osprey, squirrels, gulls, ducks, and various other small birds right in the back yard. The sunset views from the dock were postcard worthy. We barely had to leave the house for anything all week. I would give this house/owner the highest possible recommendation.

Love Gift of the Sound This was our seventh time at Gift of the Sound and we have it reserved two more times for 2022. It is very evident the owner takes great pride in the home and wants those who rent it to have a very enjoyable experience.

Wonderful Stay at Gift of the Sound! The home was beautiful and well taken care of. The Gift of the Sound brought many gifts to our vacation. The kitchen was well stocked with nice/quality pots/pans and dishes. This is an unusual find but very appreciated. The owner reached out to us to ensure we had everything we needed and we did! We will be back next year!

Excellent Beautiful home with everything you could think of to make it a great stay!

So Peaceful We were all soooooo pleased with the location for beautiful sunsets, the condition of the property, how fully stocked the kitchen was with everything we needed and so much more. The knives were of good quality and sharp. There was every kind of coffee maker you could need. There was a very nice blender to make smoothies, a mixer, slow cooker and so much more. The pool was very refreshing and the hot tub so relaxing. We had 7 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us, we never felt crowded. The home was beautiful inside and out. The owners were very friendly and even provided a free dozen of bagels for renters. They were absolutely delicious with unique flavors. We got a couple of dozen to take home, because there is nothing like them where we come from. I would highly recommend Guft of the Sound to anyone.

Excellent Wonderful home and property! It felt like home with all the nice furnishings and conveniences. Two years in a row we have stayed there and hope to come back. It would be nice, however, if someone would put more pressure on the town of Duck to better time and manage those stop lights to improve traffic flow to and fro!

Great week, beautiful home! We had a great family week at Gift of The Sound. Grandkids loved the pool and the beach was close enough to go to whenever you wanted. Beautiful views, Gorgeous sunsets. Caught a few crabs in the crab cage. The house is very clean, very well stocked kitchen. Beach chairs came in handy. Anything you would have wanted, they had. We would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone looking to rent on the Sound.

Wonderful rental property. We've been staying at the OBX every year since 1993 from Frisco to Corolla. In those 26 years, this is one of the best, if not the best, sites we have rented. Beautiful home and well furnished.

Great House! We had a great time and enjoyed every moment in this house. Great use of space and felt so welcoming. Fully stocked and comfortable. Loved relaxing on the decks overlooking the water and dock. Spent time crabbing and swimming. We've been coming to Corolla for 10 years now and this by far was the best place we've stayed. Can't wait to book it again for next year!
