Sand Dollar Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay at Sand Dollar! The weather was perfect and the pool was a great asset, especially for our 5 grandkids. We donated a seafood boil pot for future guests. I have to say that I’ve never rented house in the OBX that did have one! The charcoal grill worked out ok, but with no lighting or work surface we used it less than we would have liked. We had a septic tank problem that was handled very quickly by Resort Realty! All in all we are grateful for your hospitality!

Great house! We loved our stay at Sand dollar! It was a perfect fit for 9. The kitchen is modern and stocked with all needed amenities. It is a short walk to the beach and the house has a beach cart to carry all beach gear. You can jump right in the pool at any time as well! We love Corolla and will be back!

July 2025 The Sand Dollar was a beautiful place. The layout of the house perfectly matched the family. We loved the house and spent many hours in the pool. The only drawback was the location, So far from the main drag. It would be great if you didn’t want to leave the area. Plenty to stuff locally. My group wanted to explore more than just Corolla.

A family affair We love it!

An Outstanding Week at the Beach We had a wonderful time at 1522 Sand Dollar and we are repeat visitors. The house is fantastic, very close to the beach and it has a big cart to transport your stuff. The pool is right there, right on the property and it is heaven for afternoons after departing from the beach or if the weather is more conducive for pool day vs beach day. The kitchen has plenty of plates, silverware, bowls, pots, pans, bakeware - everything you need to be right at home with almost any sized group. The house is laid out very well, with bathrooms in all the major bedrooms. The pool table and activities in the basement are good for the kids or for all. Washer and drier are good so you don't need to bring too much. Extremely close to Food Lion, mini golf, Wright Brothers Monument and Nags Head. It was a magical week, no disappointments whatsoever, and we are hoping to go back again next year. Recommended for all without any reservations.

A Wonderful Week A relaxing, very fine week. Whatever we might have had on our minds vanished during our week at Sand Dollar. Super location to the sand. All the amenities you need: full and complete kitchen for a large group, very comfortable living and sleeping facilities, many bathrooms, a basement with a pool table and many games and such to keep everyone happy and occupied - or not if you just want to relax. Decks perfect for AM coffee of PM refreshments. Pool right at the house super for afternoons after leaving the beach or during overcast days. Plenty of room; plenty of parking. Close to top restaurants and one of our favorites, Wright Brothers Memorial. We were here before and the experience was as good or better than we remembered. We left feeling recharged. Thank you for a very nice and memorable week.

Great Layout The house has a great layout for a group, particularly the living room/kitchen/dining room setup. Loved the pool and hot tub and proximity to the Perch beach access

Greatly Needed Escape Late season, found the house to be just what we needed - clean and comfortable with everything we wanted. Lots of room and space for everyone with really comfortable beds.

A great home away from home in the Outer Banks! We had three families converge together for the week of 8/15 through 8/22. The Sand Dollar is a great house in a great location, 2 miles from Food Lion, 2 miles from the lighthouse. The house is clean and bright with enough room to hang out together and to spread out if necessary. We all loved the pool and hot tub, many hours were spent relaxing there. It's also a pretty quick and easy walk to the beach using the Perch access 2 houses away. I think the only 'complaint' is that the TV on the main level is a little small for the room, but I don't think we had it on for too long anyway. We loved this house and the location and will seriously consider renting it again in the future. A lucky find on our part (literally the ONLY place we could find for the week we wanted, and we only searched for it 8 weeks prior to visiting) that helped create lasting memories for all of us.

1522 Sand Dollar Hollar We definitely got our moneys worth out of the Sand Dollar. The house and property worked extremely well for our group as the open spaces indoors let in ample light and provided a perfect congregation area when we were not spread out enjoying either the large pool, park-like grill, or the awesome volleyball court. The surf was a bit rough for use of the provided kayak but it was nice to have it as an option. Distance to the beach was perfect as we either walked with the provided beach cart or rode our bikes down the composite deck path.

Room to Relax The Sand Dollar is wonderful, we stayed there and loved the pool and volleyball court. It is close to the beach and the Kayak is a great addition. There is lots to do and also room to relax. We'll be back!

Everything You Need! The Sand Dollar has everything you need for a great beach vacation. The rear decks are huge and shaded to make for comfortable lounging in the swing. We'll be back!

Recommend! We were so glad that we ended up staying at the Sand Dollar. This home was centrally located, very large and clean. We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our stay, in fact, we hated to leave! Even though we encountered some cloudy weather days, we enjoyed walks on the beach, the wild horse tour, hot tub and all there was to do at the house. We have already discussed our future stays. Would recommend this home.

Nice Surprise We loved the Sand Dollar, the pool was great and it was easy to get to the beach. The view of the lighthouse was a nice surprise. We'll be back! Thanks Sandy & Bill

Lovely Home What a lovely home! It is very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the decks at night, walking to the ocean, using the game room and how kept up the interior and exterior of the house was. The pool and hot tub were a real bonus! We were two senior couples that enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and the availability of shopping and restaurants near-by. I highly recommend this home even in October when the crowds are gone yet the weather is great!

Beautiful Views Lovely home, clean, beautiful views and love hearing the ocean from the decks. We especially loved what we affectionately called "The Sand Dollar Lounge" that kept us entertained on our one rainy night and all the other's that it didn't rain. The pool is perfect and the fence shielded the high winds. The heating fee was reasonable and WELL worth it! Love the large kitchen for allowing lots of chefs in - and it did. Would recommend to anyone!

Booking Again We stayed in July of 08 and loved it. The place was very well appointed and it was perfect for the whole family. We were sad to leave. The local wildlife was a treat for the kids even in our own backyard. With 12 people in the house we were not even crowded. We are booking again and look forward to many years of staying in this house

We'll Be Back We had an excellent time. Great way to spend our 25th anniversary. The house is convenient to the beach and downtown Corolla. The layout of the house suited our needs perfectly. The pool and hot tub were great. Look forward to going back. Loved the area.

Great House! This is a great house for large families! The house is well maintained, has plenty of beds, and has a great pool area. This was a great vacation house and we will definitely be renting there again!

Relaxing We had a wonderful vacation at the Sand Dollar! The house was so much FUN with the pool , hot tub, and pool table. We loved seeing the dolphins in the ocean. It was very relaxing.
