Such a special place! We loved this sweet home, it was perfect for our family. We loved that it was in walking distance to the shops close by, beer garden, and ocean front. Honestly the best spot on Corolla! The host accurately described what to expect at the place when we got there so we could plan accordingly which we greatly appreciated! Would love to come back! Thanks again!!
Had a great time! It was such a cute house! It was perfect for our needs. It was really clean and the kitchen was well equippped with everything we would need. The walk to the beach was nice and we love all the trees and shade. The beach wagons and chairs were an awesome bonus to find! Thank you for everything!

Nice family cabin Excellent small cabin for a family of four. Fairly priced for proximity to beach and 4x4 entrance. Great pizza and ice cream across street and small gas/convenience store. One thing to note if considering Toad Hall, there is no clothes dryer on site but places to hang clothes to dry. There is also only small shower stall in the main bath, the outdoor shower has more room.
It just come down to one thing….reliability Travel these days is stressful and expensive and not worrying about the rental property being ready on time is a great load off the traveling families shoulders.
Quaint and Cozy It was just my wife and I staying at Toad Hall and we found it to be the perfect size for us. It had a rustic quality with lovely art work. The shower was a bit tight, but the bathroom size overall was pretty big. Honestly, no complaints. The location is also excellent. Plenty of attractions and dining within walking distance (including the beach) and the trees kept the house out of the sun.
Great stay, good house! Shaded paradise with short walk to the beach! The home had everything we needed, the bathroom shower was a little on the small side. Including an inside laundry drying rack would be useful. The TV upstairs was great because we never turned it on and the homes beach cart came in handy everyday! We had a wonderful time overall!
Location-Location-Location Quick walk to one of the most wonderful beaches anywhere - clean, sandy, swimtastic! Cottage is clean, equipped, beautifully decorated, comfortable, hidden yet conveniently located in Corolla Village. You can't beat this place. We have enjoyed vacations at Toad Hall year after year!
Very Good Lovely small home, very reasonably priced. Kitchen could have had better utensils. The outdoor shower had not been maintained, so I cleaned it up. Same with the vacuum cleaner — I don’t think the filters had been cleaned off for a very long time. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time and found it to be a great value. This is a cozy little house that could sleep as many as 5 people, but probably more suitable for 4 or fewer.
Great stay We had a great week in this house. Located between the cooling trees we had everything we neede of a great week in the summer. Beach nearby, airconditioning, pizza across the street, food lion 8 minuten from the house and resort realty is a very friendly and thoughtfull compact!
Perfect location for a small family The location of toad hall is the real selling point. It’s on a quiet street with a 10 minute walk to a very lightly used beach. It’s an older home surrounded by trees so expect the bugs and other critters. The shower was tiny and being 6’5” was a challenge at times but not a deal breaker. The oven is very dated and only one eye worked on the stove top. We advised the management and they had mentioned changing the whole thing out. In the end, this will be our go to house when we visit Corolla!
Great Little House This was our 2nd stay at Toad Hall on Persimmon Street. It's a lovely little home, cozy and welcoming, with everything you need for dining in. Just a short and peaceful walk to the beach with very little traffic. Enjoyed the outdoor shower!
Great for a small family Great place for a small family of four- hard to find in the OBX! Clean and cozy. Convenient location close to pizza, ice cream, a great coffee shop, and delicious juice bar. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings enjoying our coffee and the sounds of the birds.
Cozy Beach Cottage We LOVED our stay at Toad Hall! We've stayed in many houses in the Outer Banks; some big, some small. This was the smallest but it was our favorite house! We were taken aback by the comfort and roominess of the house despite the size. We loved the personality of the house with all of the original artwork and decor. We felt very much at home. In the midst of the covid19 crisis, we were still able to get take-out from local restaurants and bring it back to the house. And too close to the ice cream shop just across the street from us. We were a short walk down Persimmon to the beach access and a short drive to the 4x4 Carova Beach access. We would most definitely stay there again!
Exceeded Our Expectations We absolutely loved staying in this house and it was the perfect size for our family. It's got some tight spots (the indoor shower, for instance) but overall we really loved the layout and amenities. Thank you for welcoming us as guests!
